Barbara Cobuzzi is President of CRN Healthcare Solutions in Tinton Falls, NJ. She holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from New York University. She is also Senior Vice President of Coding and Reimbursement, Inc, a national network of coding and reimbursement professionals and President of CRN Continuing Education, Inc. She holds certifications from the American Academy of Professional Coders as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and a Certified Professional Coder for Hospital Outpatient (CPC-H). Ms Cobuzzi is a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) National Advisory Board as well as their Executive Board.Prior to joining the healthcare industry, Ms. Cobuzzi worked in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry. She is frequently quoted by or has written for Opus Communications’ How to Get Paid, Conomikes Medicare Hotline, General Surgery Coding Alert, Managed Care Negotiator, Physician Practice Coder and many other key publications in the medical coding and reimbursement industry.
Barbara is a speaker for McVey Seminars and does consulting nationally on practice process, operations, billing, coding, reimbursement, compliance and HIPAA. She also provides physician and staff education on the same topics. Barbara Cobuzzi is also the Consulting Editor of Otolaryngology Coding Alert and The Coding Corner of Part B Insider, as well as on many of the Editorial Advisory Boards of other coding publications. Ms. Cobuzzi is also a speaker at national and local conferences.
